"We were not called to go it alone. There are millions of people in America who claim to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Yet look at what is happening to the moral fiber of our country. Look at the difference we are not making.

"One of the reasons we are not making it is that we send our sheep out one by one to be eaten by wolves. Instead, we should be gathering together to do the work of God in the marketplace and in our neighborhoods. We are to serve as a community.

"Small groups are not simply a program for the church. They are a way of being the church. I am convinced that without intentional Christian community, we cannot be the people of God for each other and to the world as God intended."
