Hope
Week of 12/05/05

During the Christmas season we often put our hope in experiences and things. When those expecations don't happen the way we wanted them to, we get discouraged and maybe even lose hope! Hard times can kill our hope.

"Climb 'Til Your Dream Comes True" is a poem by Helen Steiner Rice. It speaks of how when we think we face insurmountable hills, things smooth out when we climb in faith. Climbing until our dreams come true incorporates believing, courage, trust in God.

What is hope other than desire plus faith. We hope for a better tomorrow so we can live victoriously in troublesome todays. Hope is beyond reason and the individual who truly loses hope, loses everything.

Hope is what helps us climb that ladder until our dreams become firm and established. It is well within reason to say that the hope that comes form having God's countenance shine on us has taken more people out of despair and defeat than any other single factor.

Is your level of hoping low just now?

Hope in God and praise Him.

Hope is a blessing without price, Father; thank You for it.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.
